Webinar on lessons learned from the LULUCF review 2025

The 2025 comprehensive review of the LULUCF was the first time such a review was carried out at the EU level. The review was managed by the European Environment Agency and covered the 27 EU Member States plus Iceland and Norway. The review will lead to improvements in national GHG inventories for the LULUCF sector in years to come. A follow-up webinar on lessons learned from the review was done on 6 November 2025.

[2025] EO for Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification of Carbon Removals

The conference aims to bring together experts from various fields to discuss how Earth observation can enable continuous, large-scale monitoring, offering timely and accurate data in the EU context. Particular attention will be given to the implementation of the LULUCF regulation and the forthcoming Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Certification (CRCF) Regulation and other related topics (e.g. blue carbon).

Workshop - “LULUCF: enhancing climate policy implementation”

The Event was organised by the European Commission, DG CLIMA, together with the European Environment Agency to present the handbook on the LULUCF regulation and facilitate the exchanges among member states and experts over land policies and LULUCF monitoring.
